So Bored
ever since i finished my recital and essays i have lacked all motivation to do anything. i have other essays to write and a jury to play and a final. however all these things do not start till next weekish. all semester i have felt like there has never been one day that isn't full of crazy stress. today there is no stress and i hate it, well not really, but i hate being unproductful. is this blog going anywhere? i don't think so, sorry about that. i tried to read the paper today, not interested, even other peoples blogs, and nothing could keep my attention. and, with how long i've been sitting here writing this blog, i can't even keep my attention. so, perhaps a top five list is in order.
top five things i am looking forward to this weekend
1. going on a date tonight with my sweet husband, we will eat lots of food, maybe go for a movie or go to a concert. ( i wore pink today in honor of our date)
2. working tomorrow, the little restaurant i work at is one of my all time favorite places. i love the people i work with, and i think the customers are all really funny. i've never lived in a small town before. i think small towners are a different sort of bunch and goodness do i enjoy them.
3. our good friend drew is coming over tomorrow night to do homework. maybe this will encourage me to start some essay, or maybe i will just busy myself with doing housework as a form of procrastination.
4. sunday, i just love sunday's.
5. oops, i miss counted, i can't have a five because i ran out of weekend.
well, this blog has got to end, i have to go do something.

Things that make me smile
lately i've been a little on the depressed side, so today i figure i should do something to end this slump. i will make a list of the things that have made me smile today.
1. of course, my cute husband with bed head
2. flowers that we bought at safeway yesterday
3. sleeping in this morning and have only ten minutes to get ready and not having really bad bed head to deal with.
4. listening to the pointer sisters on the way to school.
5. my essay situation worked out just fine.
there you go, and it's only 11:00 am

panic blog
so, i have two major assignments due tomorrow morning. i have them almost done and saved onto disk and i was just going to put the final touches on them. so, i put my trusty little disk in the computer and go to open my file and there was nothing there. where are my essays? we can't find them. alex assures me that they are at home on our hardrive, but really how can he be so sure. school is 45 mins from home, i have to play in a concert tonight so we won't get home until late. when we get home i will run as fast as i can to the computer and find my essays, if they are not there, i guess i will stay up all night long writing them again. sometimes i wish i had listened to that little voice inside my head that told me to write my essays on paper and then type

Just wanted to reassure all the people out there that are worried about my musical tastes, I don't love Yanni, in fact I find his music to be of a faintly disgusting smell. Metallica, Megadeth, AFI, and Apocalyptica, these are the bands for me. Yes, their names sound a little harsh, but let me assure you their music is even better. A well, doesn't mean I don't love Gabrielle any less, now that her secret is out! Yanni!? phfsht.... Everyone to their own taste eh? As Grandma always says, and I quote "It takes all kinds".

so, tonight just hanging out at the school wasting time reading other peoples blogs. reading jordon cooper's blog, and i don't actually know him, but i read his blog and his wife wendy's blog almost every day. anyways jordon and i have something in common. we are both yanni fans. well i'm not really a big fan but once i remember watching him on t.v. and goodness did i ever enjoy it. but he is not in the same category as prince or neil diamond. one time i met this guy who was from one of those smalll mennonite towns in manitoba. at the time i was new to manitoba and very unfamiliar to this type of people. well, this guy is a friend of a friends and he came to brandon to visit one night and for some reason i got a ride home with him. well, so we get into his truck, a nice big brand new truck. and he turns on the car and the stereo is so loud and he's listening to yanni. that in itself is funny enough, but as he was driving he starts feeling around on the ground for something, i of course get really nervous because he is not watching the road and is going very fast. but then he pulls out these drumsticks and starts 'drumming' on the steering wheel. i thought it was the funniest thing i'd ever seen.

well we bought the very best of prince as soon as we got into town on monday morning and boy, has it ever changed our lives. never have we enjoyed our 45 min drive into town so much. every morning i long for our car rides, i can't wait to sing along with prince great hits like 'when doves cry' 'purple rain' 'raspberyy barret' and our all time favorite 'kiss.' next on our list is a micheal jackson c.d.

so, our recitals went well, it's so good to be done. now we are writing alot of papers and in a month we will be done, not done actually, just for the year. can't wait. hopefully we will get good jobs and can pay off a little debt.

THIS WEEKEND MY BROTHER TIM IS OUT VISITING FROM T.O. HE CAME BECAUSE I HAVE A RECITAL TONIGHT, KINDA NERVOUS SO, TO RELIEVE MY STRESS I WILL GIVE YOU MY TOP FIVE FAVORITE MOVIES.
5. THE JAZZ SINGER (NOT EVEN A GOOD MOVIE, BUT NEIL DIAMOND IS IN IT)
4. GREASE 2 ( MICHELLE PIEFFER'S BEST)
3. BREAKFAST CLUB (I GUESS IT'S NOT REALLY MY FAVORITE MOVIE, BUT IT'S ALEX'S AND WE ARE ONE)
2. BETTER OFF DEAD (LOVE THAT JOHN CUSACK)
1. ROCK N' ROLL HIGH SCHOOL (FEATURING THE RAMONES)
MAYBE NONE OF THOSE ARE REALLY MY FAVORITE MOVIES, BUT I'M KINDA IN A 80'S THEME MOOD.
SO, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMOOROW FOR TWO REASONS, FIRST, MY RECITAL WILL BE DONE AND I WON'T FEEL GUILTY ABOUT NOT PRACTICING AND SECOND, ALEX AND I ARE GOING TO GO SHOPPING FOR A PRINCE C.D. YOU SEE ALEX DID HIS RECITAL ON THURSDAY AND WE DECIDED WE SHOULD TREAT OURSELVES TO SOME PURPLE RAIN. DON'T REALLY KNOW ANY OTHER SONGS BY PRINCE (OR WHATEVER HE WANT'S TO BE CALLED THESE DAYS) OTHER THAN PURPLE RAIN, BUT WE SAW HIM PERFORM ON SOME SHOW, MAYBE THE GRAMMY'S, AND BOY WAS IT ENTERTAINING. WELL I'LL LET YOU KNOW ABOUT OUR PRINCE C.D. WHEN IT IS PURCHASED.

Top Fuive (that's Japanese for five) (actually I just can't type well) things to do with brother Tim on the weekend.

#1. Watch trailer park boys.
#2. Drinking coffee.
#3. Watching Rock and Roll High School.
#4. Reading about the Yanomamo. (a tribe in South America).
#5. Leave Tim at home while I spend an afternoon trying to fix the coal stoker at Mom and Dad's place, dagnab pile o' shifny shab ding dangin' piece o' crap lap sufferin' sliff slubber wik nik crossy oss pile o' poo! Begin previous sentence under breath and then slowly crescendo to loud roar.

Here is a funny number in German. Funf hundert funf und funfzig tausend, funf hundert funf und funfzig. (555,555)
Just sounds funny when you say it fast.
