i haven't blogged in so long that i forgot my password, but no worries it could only be one of three options, i figured it out eventually. so, i've been reading my favorite blogs today and have noticed a weather theme. everyone is complaining about the stinkin cold weather, so i will too. on wednesday our car would not start, so we couldn't go to school. we phoned all of our teachers and students and cancelled our rehersals and everyone was fine about it. the only problem was, i didn't bring home a cello or any of my books. on just tuesday night i hardly slept because i was so stressed out about getting all of my stuff done. so wednesday came, and i couldn't do anything, i was forced to take a day off. so, did i enjoy it, did i take advantage of this once in a lifetime chance to do nothing for an entire day? absolutley not, it was probably in my top five most stressful days. i watched movies and it's a new day, and dr. phil and oprah and the entire time i worried about school. so thursday came and i went to school extra early to catch up, and you know, things aren't that bad. i'll still get my assignments done, i might still suck at playing the cello, but i don't think one day would have changed that. i think i need to have a little bit more fun.

happy news today. our cousins curtis and bonnie had a new baby boy last night. i don't know what the name is yet, i don't think they do either. this is baby number four for them - congratulations - keep them comin.

sorry it's been so long since our last post. we suck at this blogging thing. we just finished our first week back at school and it's really busy and stressful already. a nice break in our oober stressful lives was church yesterday. we went to the baptist church in virden. this is not our regular church. alex and i have never had a regular church our whole married life together. in fact ever since i "re-dedicated" my life when i was 18 i've been a church hopper. at first i was frustrated with my church hopping ways and was eager to be tied down. now i find it very exciting and free to call many churches my home. we, of course have experience critisism from our family, but, no bother. we feel that we are doing what God wants from us right now. we are exposed to many different teachings and many new friends. there have been times when we felt God telling us to leave a church because of wrong teaching and also times when we left just because God told us to. Maybe one day we will pick a church and stick with it, but who knows.

back home. alex and i just got back from our christmas vacation in ontario. lots of good times seeing family and stuff. i don't really see my extended family much or really keep in touch with them so this was nice, we went to family reunions on both my mom and dad's side. then we spent some good time in toronto shopping and stuff.
highlights of our trip include
1. being entertained by a band of middle aged men singing doo wop on the flight home.
2. visiting the wallaceburg museum and seeing the world's largest faucet.
3. driving by the dresden casino (it has neon palm trees)
4. hanging out with my grandma.
if you would like to see pictures of our trip, check out my brother's photo page
