O.K. Gab and I just started taking d i g i t a l pictures and we think it's fun. We took pictures of my home town, Griswold M.B. Gab says it's creepy and won't go there by herself, but it's my town so I think it's kinda cozy creepy. When I was little, quite a number of these houses housed people. People used to go to church and even to school there, but now it is close to being a ghost town, say a population of 5... just 5 not 200. Most the buildings have been abandoned and quite often still contain a lot of furniture and curtains. These pictures should give you an idea of what it's like now.

Well, I'm at the university and am starting to feel pretty crappy. Last night Gab and I went to Drew's house and we watched three movies while consuming large quantities of sugar and salt devices. I think I could use an advil. Probably does'nt help that I'm listening to metal while I write this. Anyways, Just figured I'd try my hand at this bliggity bloggity thingy again. Hi, to all the fans and thank you again to my producer....God. Another one of those cheesy truthful statem......swaying to the symphony of destruction....Oh, sorry, got a little side tracked. I don't really have anything else to say right now anyways so.............bye. Actually, I'm really looking forward to practicing cello again. Goin' back to school next semester and am, you know, a little apprehensive. It'll be good. I'm not exactly sure what courses I should sign up for yet. Some religious studies would probably be good for me. Just don't forget, life is extremely life and the best way to live it is to be flexible, 'cause basically the only thing you can truly change is yourself. Happy seems easier to obtain if flexibility is kept in mind. Excuse the phillisophical jibbly. Hope everyone's enjoying being christmasish. Alex

Good Days
I've been out of school for a week or something, and boy do i ever feel blessed. i'm having so much relaxing fun. during school i tend to become overly anti-social, but this past week i've been able to hang out with some very special family that i live so close to but never get to see. that makes me happy. yesterday was an especially good day. we tried out a new church in brandon and saw some old friends there. then we took some pictures of this really creepy place called griswold, then we hung out at alex's parents house and decorated the tree and we ended the day by watching survivor and boy was that exciting. i was just so happy that evil jonny fairplay didn't win. Washing dishes. Doin' laundry. Gab's making bread. Man, is this day on a roll. Heck this is definately the best... Gab asks me if we are going to do tag-team blogging. That's a really inteligent and expensive idea. Top 5 reasons we live in Oak Lake!
#5 Having landlords with the names Cornie and Thelma. They're very cool people.
#4 Having people know everything about you.
#3 Knowing that when you ask any fella in town what he does for a living, you'll get "Drive truck".
#2 Having three craft shops in town of only 359 people.
#1 Lot's o' Mullets.
This has been a tag-team operation by Alex and Gab.

This poor chap really needs a girlfriend and a good haircut, but Gabrielle is already married so she won't go out with him. Does anyone have an available girl to hook him up with?

so, i work in this small town called virden, and there is this thing that gets the people of virden all excited this time of year and that's the snowflake draw. you just put your name in the draw at any of the participating businesses in virden and if your name gets picked then you win money that must be spent in virden. now, all of that background has nothing to do with this story. i work in one of the participating businesses. today as i was sitting having a break, an old farmer type of man came up and asked if he could borrow my pen, being a waitress i of course had a pen and gladly lent it to him. when he returned the pen he said to me "thank you, i was entering the snowflake draw" then in a muffled, under the breath, sarcastic type of voice he said "it sure is a snowflake draw."

Umm, Hi.
This will work, I have a good feeling about it.
Just got back from work, and boy was it ever an interesting day of work to be sure. I painted... I painted white... I painted shelves, cupboards and fan blades.... White. O.K. so it turned out a lot more boring than I thought it was. Anyways just wanted to see if this thing was going to run the way it's supposed to. This has been trustworthy moments with your host, Alex Thiessen.
